The effect of being in the city

The continual exposure to deafeningly-loud noise when one is outdoors in the city. Being blasted out in one’s own home. Feeling one’s bed shaking from the noise. The disturbance it causes to the mind and body. Blastingly loud motorcycles. Loud trucks and cars. Blasting stereos. This is what being in the city makes me feel like, like some kind of blast-victim from a war zone. It is truly sickening. Every leader responsible for allowing this to continue one day longer has blood on their hands.

Every physician, therapist, or healer of any kind who doesn’t speak up against this continual atrocity which gets worse and worse every year is a farce.

I never expected life to necessarily be easy, but I didn’t expect to be incessantly abused physiologically every time I comport myself outdoors. I didn’t expect to be abused physiologically in my own home. That this is happening here is a crime and a violation of the most basic human right.

The sick people who perpetrate these crimes – by deliberately modifying their vehicles to emit loud, disturbing noise – are criminals and don’t deserve to live in the civilized world.

I am thoroughly disgusted with the city, with all the people in it.
