A few weeks back someone gave me some free sample packets of a children’s probiotic which is a powder that mixes in with water or other beverage. I was looking for them today but then went over to the probiotic refrigerator section and was amazed at how many midichlorian supplements there are. There are many.
Today I decided to get a super-high potency one with ten Bifidobacteria and Lactobacilli strains which is a lot. Many products only contain a few. This one also is rated at 100 billion CFUs. CFU is an acronym for colony-forming unit, which is an estimation of the number of viable cells which can potentially form colonies. Many products are around 25 billion or 50 billion CFUs. This was the only one with 100 billion.
My guess is this might be overkill. Its the end of the day and I think I can sense that cultured dairy aftertaste 12 hours later. I don’t consume dairy but I think I can sense these midichlorians being happy inside my intestines. Perhaps only half a capsule is necessary. My guess is that these do not need to be taken too often which is good because the jar of 30 caps cost nearly $40.
By the way, as a side note, people may have heard about a product which some skincare products contain called “bifida ferment lysate”. This is some product derived from Bifidobacteria bacteria and is claimed to have beneficial effects on skin. However I seriously question this. One thing is certain, if you buy a jar of some super-expensive serum that contains this, it is not living organisms. There’s no way they would survive with all the other ingredients in a jar of non-refrigerated serum. If it is dead organisms, I wonder how it can be beneficial? What would there be from the cytoplasm or membrane molecules that could benefit skin? It seems like it might be better to just take a fresh probiotic capsule and rub the powder on the skin.
