Switching to psyllium and chia

I wrote a while ago about how I thought enemas were healthy and I even managed to find a couple discount cases of them online.

But lately I’ve been starting to wonder if taking the store-bought saline enemas is good.

Its gotten to a point where if I don’t use them I feel strange. And I’ve been having so many problems with digesting things and feeling bloated and uncomfortable – this despite maintaining a high standard for my diet and excercising regularly.

Something was not right. So yesterday I decided I’m going to stop taking enemas and change. I went to the store today and bought psyllium husk and chia seeds in bulk. I just had my first glass of water + psyllium + chia a while ago.

I guess I thought enemas were healthy and liked that flushed-out feeling after using them. But now I question whether something is not right. A couple weekends ago I went camping and didn’t take any enemas with me and felt very uncomfortable and bloated.

I didn’t forget about that experience these past few weeks and was starting to think that something’s not right. I shouldn’t have to rely on having enemas with me all the time. There had to be a better solution.

Then I remembered that there are laxative supplements like psyllium. I think in the past maybe I used them but they didn’t seem to work so I stopped using them. It seems like bulking supplments like that do not do anything for me. But I’m going to give them another try because I have to find a better solution.

I know it might seem weird writing about things like this but if one is going to write about nutrition, digestion, and health then one should not be afraid of writing honestly about everything that is a part of health. Everyone has a colon and we have to keep our colons healthy just as much as other things.

Anyhow I found a post online which has information about chia and even has a recipie for chia pudding which sounds absolutely yummy.

This morning when I woke up I was actually thinking of doing a master cleanse but then decided not to. For some reaosn I feel that it would not be best to do so now. Whether its because its not really necessary to do, or else because its not the right time, I do not know.

But I’ve read skeptical things about cleanses like that which questioned whether they really are of benefit. My thinking is that there are definitely many things which are unquestionably beneficial and those should therefore always take precedence over something questionable.

Those unquestionable things are maintaining a fitness routine, keeping stress away, eating a healthy, pure diet, sleeping well, and not abusing one’s body with drugs, alcohol, smoking, and even garbage in the form of junk media. Nothing should ever take precedence over those things because they are the foundation of a healthy life.
