Wow. Chia. Oh. My. Gosh!

I can’t believe this you guys. I seriously am blown away. I didn’t know about the magic of chia seeds until, like, two days ago. I had heard about them but never really understood.

Now I do! Wow!

I started investigating, and saw a video about making Agua de chía. It stands to reason, the plant being indigenous to Mexico, that there would be some cool recipies for it there.

Recently I was also thinking about the Master Cleanse. The Master Cleanse is nice but I think its not just one thing that has to be done one specific way. It can be more like a creative idea to experiment with and customize. Also, even though I come from maple syrup country, I actually don’t think its the most optimal ingredient to use for the Master Cleanse. Even though the creator of the Master Cleanse basically denigrates honey in his publication, I disagree. Honey is very beneficial for health.

Even though I’m vegan and use it only very occasionally, because of its healing properties I think one would probably want to have some honey available for treating things like throat inflamation, colds, etc. If you’ve ever treated a cold with Yin Chiao then you might know firsthand the benefit that using a little bit of honey can have in helping to heal a persistent cold. It probably doesn’t hurt either to use a bit of it now and then as a preventative.

So anyhow today I broke out my old, trusted $3.99 Ikea pitcher and played. I squeezed in two lemons, filled the 34 oz. pitcher about 3/4 full with healthy water, added about 1/2 cup of chia seeds and about 1 tbsp on really good, local orange blossom honey then stirred and waited. Came back again, stirred some more, and then poured my first glass.

Oh. My. Gosh! This is unbelievable! I’m so happy!

Finding about about the magic of chia really means a lot to me because I really need to find healthy things like this given how strict I try to be with my diet. This has added a lot of bliss to my life.

I’m so happy!
