Working out fundamental themes

These are my TED themes. They are the basic ideas that I would present and also the guiding themes that I would follow if I were President. Even if I’m not President I will still continue with this.

1. Humans have gone too far in creating comfort to the point of damaging themselves and many other life forms. Action needs to be taken and policies radically readjusted to deal with this.

2. Physical, physiological, mental, and spiritual integrity as a basic right. This is the foundation to recovery, to prosperity, to sustainability. I could write a very long while about this. It is a fundamental shift in understanding of who and what a human being is and what it means to be a living being on Earth.

3. Complicity and failure of institutions to uphold basic integrity. Failure to acknowledge them and failure to stand up. This requires some changes to be made to how institutions operate and what people consider goals to be.

4. Integrity (see 2 above) is fundamental to everything else. It is the key to freedom. Any concept of freedom which doesn’t include integrity is a farce.

5. Healthy cultures have healthy models. By models I mean people who others look up to, who are examples, who are shining lights. Not all models are necessarily actual people either. For example models can even be fictional characters who have outstanding qualities.

6. Everything is interconnected. I mean that to solve deep problems one has to start somewhere, and that somewhere is integrity (2. above). There may not always be some ultimate, absolute, empirically-established path or doctrine that can be laid out, but it is certain that following the path will result in benefit.
