A human being has to feel good, secure, and happy in their bed. If they do not feel happy, good, and secure in their bed it affects them. The effect can be very profound.
Having a bed or a nest is a fundamental thing for a human being. It has been fundamental to mammals for tens of millions of years.
Having a bed is not the same as “housing”. People are so concerned with “housing” but then so many humans suffer deprivation in severe ways in their homes. Just being surrounded by walls and a ceiling is not the same as having a home.
I would not expect the atrocious asswipes in power to comprehend nor give a fuck about any of this. They are part of a system which is geared towards landlords making profit, nothing else.
