Alaya.net is undergoing some major reorganization over the next couple days. Some posts may be offline and some may be be missing media.
The new design is going to feature posts from all alaya.net sub-blogs on one main page. Alaya.net started as one site, then split into sub-blogs, and now I want to reintegrate them back to one main site but still maintain the distinction between them. It will sort of be like a magazine site where there are major feature topics or bloggers.
The goal is to have much more control over the layout but still keep the sub-blogs somewhat independent.
I do not have the systems administration time and resources now to do this reorganization without some site disruptions but they should only last for a few days. Obviously the way to do this seamlessly would be to have a staging setup…
One major change which will be apparent is the switch from subdirectories to subdomains. So e.g. http://alaya.net/soma is now http://soma.alaya.net
