Make Your Own Larabars

Of all the energy/nutrition bars that are made, only Larabar are vegan and have no added sugars. Some of them are really excellent – my favorites are Pecan Pie and Carrot Cake.

You can also make your own Larabars – well not exactly but very close and just as healthy!
I like to use a small bowl that I got from a Japanese store – it’s about 1/6 the size of a regular bowl. In the bowl place a small handful of your favorite nuts – mine are walnuts – they are the most inexpensive nut and also those for which most people have the highest tolerance. I am actually intolerant of pretty much all other nuts to varying degrees, but I’ve never had an issue with walnuts – of course eaten in moderation.
Along with the walnuts place one or two medjool dates. Then add a small amount of high-quality sea salt such as celtic sea salt.

That’s it! Enjoy eating the combination of walnuts and medjool dates. You will find that the small amount of sea salt really activates the flavor.
