The Last Thing We Need Is a Myth

The last thing we need is a myth. (Joseph Campbell be damned lol.) Christianity as it exists as religions is based on a myth, on a fairy tale.

It used to puzzle me why when it’s known by scholars that much of the Gospel of John as well as much of the other gospels is basically fiction, why it is still popular and central to Christianity.

The answer is that Christianity as it exists as religions is not about actual truth, it’s about a myth. The setups of all the religions are all based on amping up the myth and making the most of it.

I don’t think Jesus would have wanted anything to do with that. I don’t think that has anything to do with his teachings. It’s the wrong direction we need to be going in, not the right one.

Right now we need to all wake the fuck up and be aware of what’s going on, not be involved with made-up fairy tales.

One instant of clear, connected meditation – practice of dhyana – is worth more than hours of grand, elaborate, fairy tale pomp and SJW preaching.
