Eat Less Grain

Eat less grain. Instead of grain, add sweet potatoes and beans to your meal. Here are the details:

It’s easy to eat too much grain. Many people think that simply being vegetarian or vegan is enough. That fact that a person is eating grain and not eating animal products is seen as healthy. It is healthy, however grain puts stress on the digestive system. Many people eat too much grain and are bloated and unhealthy.. It takes a lot for the body to process grains, as opposed to fruits and vegetables which is what are the most ideal for our digestive systems.

For determine how much grain to eat I recommend this method: cup your hand and fill it three times with rice. Put the rice into your rice cooker. Then fill it twice with millet and put that in with the rice. Shake the pot around to mix the rice and millet, then add water and cook.

On top of the rice cooker place the steaming tray and play three or four slices of sweet potato, about 1/4 inch thick, into the tray. Also add vegetables like chard or kale.

In your wok at the same time the rice/millet is cooking with the vegetables, heat up some beans. I also like to have a couple pieces of falafel.

When the rice has finished cooking pour in about 1/8 cup of water. Take the sweet potatoes out and serve them in a bowl with the reheated beans.

Always eat sweet potatoes and beans together. They naturally complement each other.

After eating the sweet potatoes and beans, have the steamed veggies. Finally, have the rice/millet and add the pieces of falafel if there are any.

To all three dishes you can add olive oil and sea salt and possibly other seasonings.

Three handfuls of rice and two of millet each day is all you need. It’s better not to overeat grains. Eat sweet potatoes and beans instead, along with vegetables. Also have a large salad such as a spinach salad.

This is an extremely healthy diet. Most people will lack the discipline to follow it. However this diet will cure obesity and many other health problems. I hope you can try it and succeed!

Yes I still eat oatmeal for other meals. But three handfuls of rice and two of millet is the only major meal with grain, other than oatmeal, which I eat.

Obviously you can also eat quinoa or other grains as well, however this is a guide you can follow.
