Use a Garlic Press to Extract Lemongrass Juice

You can use a garlic press to extract the juice from lemongrass.

Cut pieces of lemongrass about an inch long. Depending on how much juice you want you may need anywhere from a few to a dozen pieces.

Lemongrass juice is very strong so you don’t need a lot.

Once cut, place the pieces into the garlic press perpendicular to the holes and then crush and squeeze hard. Because it requires a lot of power, do not put too many pieces in the press at the same time. Only one large one or a couple smaller ones. After the first press, readjust the crushed pieces and press again to extract more juice. Repeat this process several times if necessary.

The OXO garlic press pictured above works well for this since it requires a lot of power.
